The before-mentioned Bakocz Chapel is rich in old arts treasures. In the crypt (the walls of which have a thickness of 17 meters) numerous gravestones from the XV century are to be seen. The famous Treasure-chamber is situated in an adjoining building: it contains, among other treasures, the so-called Calvary of King Alathias a masterpiece of the Florentine Goldsmiths' art. Hidden in the Fortress walls, not far from the Cathedral, is the little Roman Chapel of St. Stephen with polychrome frescoes, said to be the birthplace of St. Stephen. At the foot of the hill stands the beautiful Palace of the Primate containing a rich picture-gallery (many Italian Masters), a collection of copperplate engravings, and of antiques, and a library. The ancient Town hall, a 17th Century edifice in Rococo style, is also interesting. It was once the residence of the Kuruz General Vak Bottyan.
