Lastly we must mention the Tenth District (Kobanya, i. e. Stone Quarry), which extends Eastwards of the Town. This district, originally of an agricultural character, has little by little developed into an industrial centre; here are to be found the largest factories of Budapest. Architecturally it offers little of interest, except the beautiful Catholic Church constructed by Edmund Lechner: it is built in the French Roman style, with Gothic elements and Hungarian decorative motives. Between Kobanya and the town lies the large central Cemetery (Kerepesi) where the great men of the Nation are buried. Among the numerous beautiful mausoleums, we will mention those of the Poets Arany, Vorosmarty and Kisfaludy, of the scholars Toldy and Horvath, of the Artists Munkacsy and others. Large Mausoleums extol the undying merit of Count Ludwig Batthyany (the Mausoleum by Schickedanz) and also of the politicians Francis Deak (by Gerster) and Ludwig Kossuth (by Gerster and Strobl).
